MINIMAL FISCAL IMPACT

The amendment allows police to specify as a condition of release that a person charged with the commission of a family violence crime must avoid all contact with any pets or domestic animals owned by the alleged victim. Any fiscal impact associated with enforcement of this provision is anticipated to be minimal.
