The amendment could result in minimal cost to the Department of Public Safety (DPS) associated with the requirement of developing a standardized form for family violence crimes. The form must be completed, indicating the conditions with which the arrested person must comply, and distributed upon the release of the arrested person. The amendment will also result in a workload increase to the Department of Public Safety.
