Explanation
The amendment provides that the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) report its findings within available appropriations. It is estimated that the cost for outside consultants for modeling and analysis is $100, 000 - $250, 000. Since no additional funds are provided to undertake the modeling and analysis, the DEP will either not undertake these duties; or have to divert resources from another program(s) or require a deficiency appropriation.
Other provisions in the amendment have no associated fiscal impact.
The preceding Fiscal Impact statement is prepared for the benefit of the members of the General Assembly, solely for the purposes of information, summarization and explanation and does not represent the intent of the General Assembly or either House thereof for any purpose.
