REDUCES POTENTIAL COST IN BILL

The amendment eliminates a provision in the bill that facilitates prosecution of any person who loses a firearm or has it stolen from them and fails to report such loss or theft within the time required. It could thereby reduce the associated, potential cost for incarceration or probation supervision under the bill.
