AN ACT PROVIDING FUNDS FOR FARMLAND PRESERVATION PROGRAMS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective from passage) The sum of $30,000,000 is appropriated to the Department of Agriculture, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006, for farmland preservation programs established pursuant to title 22 of the general statutes. Ten per cent of said amount may be used for the administrative expenses of such programs.


This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:

Statement of Purpose:

To provide funding for farmland preservation.
