AN ACT PROVIDING FUNDING AND AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the sum of ___ dollars be appropriated to the Department of Public Health, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007, for grants to support the operations of community health centers; and that the State Bond Commission be empowered to authorize the issuance of bonds of the state in accordance with section 3-20 of the general statutes, in principal amounts not exceeding in the aggregate ___ dollars, the proceeds of which shall be used by the Department of Public Health to improve community health center facilities.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide funding for community health centers.
