This bill would prohibit tax assessors from posting floor plans of property on the internet in the interest of protecting privacy.

Representative Raymond Kalinowski, 100^th district “I feel that this practice (of having a floor plan sketch of someone's home posted on the internet) poses a security and public safety risk as well as an invasion of privacy to homeowners. Any potential burglar would be able to pull up potential homes that they see as targets and analyze the details to choose the easiest target.” “Allowing access to this information on the internet is not only potentially dangerous but a serious privacy concern.”
