AN ACT VALIDATING THE NOVEMBER 2, 2004, REFERENDUM IN THE TOWN OF ENFIELD.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to provide that notwithstanding any provision of the general statutes or any special act, charter or ordinance, the vote cast by the electors and voters of the town of Enfield at the referendum held on November 2, 2004, relating to approval of and an appropriation for the reconstruction and repair of various town roads and roadside elements and the authorization of the issuance of bonds, notes and temporary notes and the acceptance of grants and other available funds to defray said appropriation, otherwise valid except for the failure to publish and post notice of said referendum, is validated. All acts, votes and proceedings of the officers and officials of the town of Enfield pertaining to or taken in reliance on said referendum, otherwise valid except for the failure to publish and post notice of said referendum, are validated and effective as of the date taken.

Statement of Purpose:

To validate the referendum held on November 2, 2004 in the town of Enfield.
