AN ACT REGARDING CONSUMER INFORMATION ON THE AMOUNT INSURERS PAY TOWARD PRESCRIPTION COSTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require any retail sales transaction for prescription medication that is paid, in whole or in part, by insurance to include notification to the consumer regarding the amount that the insurer has paid to the retailer for such prescription.

Statement of Purpose:

To enable consumers to know what their insurance company is paying toward their prescriptions.
