AN ACT CONCERNING THE CHARGING OF UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION BENEFITS TO EMPLOYERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 567 of the general statutes be amended to provide that where an employer terminates an employee, and said employee is subsequently terminated by a second employer under circumstances that permit the payment of unemployment compensation benefits, the payment of unemployment compensation benefits after the first termination shall not be charged to the account of the first employer.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit charging the payment of unemployment compensation benefits to an employer where a terminated employee is subsequently terminated by a second employer and paid unemployment compensation benefits.
