AN ACT CONCERNING MOTOR VEHICLE DEALERS AND REPAIRERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 14-54 of the general statutes be amended to eliminate the requirement for obtaining a license to deal in or repair motor vehicles that the chief of police or commander of the nearest state police barracks approve the location for which such license is sought, and to permit approval of such location by the local zoning commission, planning and zoning commission or local authority of the town, city or borough, instead of by the zoning board of appeals.
Statement of Purpose:
To streamline the process of approving licenses for dealing in or repairing motor vehicles.
