AN ACT REQUIRING DISCLOSURE OF RETAIL DRUG PRICES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require each drug retailer to disclose to each customer who purchases a prescribed drug from the drug retailer the actual price paid or to be paid by the drug retailer to the manufacturer or wholesaler for such drug.

Statement of Purpose:

To educate consumers about the cost and pricing of prescribed drugs.
