AN ACT DENYING UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION BENEFITS TO INDIVIDUALS UNABLE TO WORK BECAUSE OF A VIOLATION OF THE LAW.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 567 of the general statutes be amended to disqualify any individual from receiving unemployment compensation benefits whose inability to work is due to such individual's violation of a criminal, motor vehicle or other law.
Statement of Purpose:
To protect employers from the expense of paying unemployment benefits for an employee who is unable to work solely because of the employee's violation of the law.
