AN ACT STUDYING THE FEASIBILITY OF FORMING AN INTERSTATE PURCHASING POOL FOR HEALTH INSURANCE AND PRESCRIPTION DRUGS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the Comptroller, in consultation with the Office of Policy and Management, study the feasibility of forming an interstate compact with other northeastern states for the bulk purchase of health care insurance and prescription drugs and report the findings of the study and any recommendations for legislation to the General Assembly not later than January 1, 2006.
Statement of Purpose:
To authorize a feasibility study for an interstate health insurance and prescription drug purchasing pool.
