AN ACT CONCERNING HEALTH INSURANCE COPAYMENTS FOR CHEMOTHERAPY RELATED CARE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sections 38a-504 and 38a-542 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit any health insurer, health care center or other entity that offers a health insurance policy in this state from charging patients copayments, deductibles or other out-of-pocket expenses for necessary follow-up care related to chemotherapy.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit insurers from charging patients copayments, deductibles or other out-of-pocket expenses for necessary follow-up care related to chemotherapy.
