AN ACT REQUIRING DISCLOSURE OF PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY GIFTS TO PHYSICIANS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require (1) each pharmaceutical company to report to the Department of Public Health any item or service of value in excess of ten dollars given by any person acting on the company's behalf to any physician licensed in this state or any organization employing physicians licensed in this state, and (2) the Department of Public Health to make such reports available for public inspection.
Statement of Purpose:
To require public disclosure of gifts by pharmaceutical companies to physicians licensed to practice in Connecticut.
