AN ACT CONCERNING A SPACE ON THE INCOME TAX RETURN FORM FOR A DONATION TO A FUND FOR FAMILIES OF RESERVISTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 12-743 of the general statutes be amended to provide for a space on the income tax return form to allow taxpayers to donate a portion of their refund to a fund established to provide temporary relief to families of reservists who are experiencing financial distress due to cuts in income because the reservist has been deployed for active duty.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide temporary relief to families of reservists during periods of financial distress, due to cuts in income because a member of the family was deployed for active duty.
