AN ACT CONCERNING ELIMINATING SOCIAL SECURITY OFFSETS UNDER THE UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION ACT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (g) of section 31-227 of the general statutes be amended to eliminate the requirement that unemployment compensation benefits be offset by the amount of Social Security benefits received.
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate the Social Security benefit offset for individuals receiving unemployment compensation.
