AN ACT CONCERNING ACCESSIBILITY OF SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS AND THE SELF-EMPLOYED TO HEALTH INSURANCE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to give small business owners and self-employed individuals the opportunity to join either the health insurance plan for state employees or the health insurance plan for the municipality in which their business is located or in which they reside.

Statement of Purpose:

To realize economies of scale.
