AN ACT PERMITTING FAMILY MEDICAL LEAVE FOR CARE OF AN ADULT CHILD.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 31-51ll of the general statutes be amended to permit family medical leave to be taken for the care of an adult child who is incapable of self-care because of a serious health condition.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow parents to use family medical leave to care for adult children incapable of caring for themselves.
