AN ACT CONCERNING SUSPENSION OR WAIVER OF PREVAILING WAGE LAWS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 557 of the general statutes be amended to (1) enact a temporary moratorium on prevailing wage laws, or (2) raise the threshold for the applicability of prevailing wage laws to (A) one million dollars for new construction of public works projects, and (B) five hundred thousand dollars for the repair or renovation of public works projects.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide relief from the state's prevailing wage mandates.
