AN ACT REQUIRING HOSPITALS TO REPORT HOSPITAL-ACQUIRED INFECTIONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to (1) require hospitals to report to the Department of Public Health all incidences of hospital-acquired infections, and (2) make such reports public records.

Statement of Purpose:

To require hospitals to report hospital-acquired infections and to make such reports public records.
