AN ACT ESTABLISHING A REPORTING SYSTEM FOR NOSOCOMIAL INFECTIONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Public Health to develop a system for hospitals to report all hospital-acquired infections.

Statement of Purpose:

To reduce incidences of hospital-based infections and to increase public awareness of such infections.
