AN ACT CONCERNING A THRESHOLD FOR PREVAILING WAGE REQUIREMENTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 31-53 of the general statutes be amended to exempt from prevailing wage requirements new construction projects costing under one million five hundred thousand dollars and remodeling, refinishing, refurbishing, rehabilitation, alteration and repair projects costing under five hundred thousand dollars.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide a monetary threshold for application of the prevailing wage requirements to new construction and renovation work.
