You asked for details on the current federal investigation into the administration of former Governor John Rowland.

While the U. S. Attorney’s office appears to have acknowledged that it is investigating alleged wrongdoing by members of former Governor John Rowland’s administration, that office has consistently refused to comment on any aspect of the investigation. Local newspapers have reported a federal corruption probe focused on members of the former governor’s administration. These papers have also reported that former members of the Rowland administration are cooperating with federal officials and that they have appeared before and presented evidence to the federal grand jury. We have been unable to verify participants in, or the focus, nature, or scope of, the investigation.
