You asked if any other state universities in New England provide health insurance and pension benefits to part-time adjunct faculty members.
At the University of Massachusetts, part-time faculty members are eligible to receive health insurance after they have taught at least five courses over three consecutive semesters. The University of New Hampshire offers health insurance to faculty members who work at least half time and have at least a one-year contract. The University of Rhode Island does not offer health insurance or pension benefits to part-time adjunct faculty members. The University of Vermont offers benefits to salaried faculty members who have worked at least half time for four consecutive semesters.
