OFA Bill Analysis
AN ACT CONCERNING EXPENDITURES FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND EXPENDITURES FROM THE SPECIAL TRANSPORTATION FUND.
The bill requires the Commissioner of Transportation to review (1) the functions and activities of the Department of Transportation in order to evaluate the cost and effectiveness of such activities and assign priority for their continued funding, and (2) the purpose of expenditures from the Transportation Fund in order to determine the most appropriate uses for such funds. The commissioner shall report such finding and recommendations to the General Assembly by January 1, 2004.
