AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF CUSTOMER CREDIT HISTORIES IN AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE RATING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 701 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit automobile insurers from using an individual's credit history score as a basis for determining insurance rates.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit automobile insurers from using credit scores as a rating criteria.
